Two Events this Fall (2007)

"A Life Worth Living" is the long awaited follow-up course to the Alpha program.

Nine Sundays, Oct 14th to Dec 9th

The Course will follow a similar format to Alpha and Via Media: we will meet after the 10 A.M. service (around 11:45 a.m. until 2 p.m.) We will eat a delicious lunch together and, over dessert and coffee, will watch a video presentation. After this, we will break into small groups for discussion. This is an excellent way for adults to learn more about our faith and to make fast friends at the same time. All people are welcome and a supervised program for children will be provided. Why not come with a friend?

"Introduction to Centering Prayer and Christian Meditation"

October 20th 2007

8:30 A.M. to 4 P.M.

Description from Mt. Carmel Brochure: Today thousands of devout Christians around the world are pondering the mystery of God's presence within by taking time each day for contemplative prayer. Some use Centering Prayer and some use Christian Meditation. Come to learn about and experience these two popular methods of contemplative prayer.

A hot lunch will be served. Extremely Yummy!

Cost: The cost to the Christian Education Committee is $45/person. Please just pay what you can afford. Part of the Christian Education budget is devoted to making retreats available to all. We were pleased that several people for the last retreat took advantage of the option of paying nothing or a reduced fee. Cheques should be made out to St. Andrew's Education Committee. Please place the completed registration form and any fee in the envelope at the back of the church.

We will carpool by meeting at St. Andrew's Parking lot at 8:30 A.M. (returning around 4 P.M.)

Deadline for handing in this form: Sunday, October 7th-however, the retreat may fill before then. Therefore, please hand in this form as soon as you have decided to go.
