Lent 2008

Ash Wednesday - 6 February 2008- 7 P.M.

We begin Lent on Ash Wednesday by wearing ashes on our forheads as a symbol of our own mortality and our need to repent and return to our God. This is also a service of new beginnings as we realize that resurrection only ever follows the profound loss of death.

Holy Week and Easter 2008

Maundy Thursday - 20 March 2008- 7 P.M.

This is the service in which we symbolically re-enact the Lord's Last Supper. Along with the Holy Communion we will have the ceremonial washing of hands.

Good Friday - 21 March 2008- 10 AM

At this service we remember Jesus' Passion as he is brought to the cross and crucified.

Easter Vigil Candlelight Service - 22 March 2008-

7 PM

This dramatic service starts with the lighting of a new fire outside of the Church. We enter into the dark Church symbolizing the empty tomb and bring the light of the new resurrection fire as we enter candle by candle. A very moving celebration of the triumph of Life over death.

Easter Day - 23 March 2008- 8 A.M. and 10 A.M.

We will celebrate Easter day with two services of Holy Communion with Hymns and full choir at the 10 A.M. worship. Come and celebrate with us the joy of everlasting life and please bring your friends and family with you.

All are welcome to attend and participate in every service we celebrate.

We Practice an open table here.
